Great movements often begin with a whisper before they become a roar. For us, it started in 2012 with five faithful hearts gathered in Sister Buruktawit Mesafinit’s living room and one simple, piercing question:
“Why don’t we study and meditate on the Word of God?”
That spark ignited a spiritual fire. As the group dove into the Holy Scriptures, the Word came alive, shaping thoughts and stirring souls. While the seasons of life brought challenges that temporarily paused their consistency, the hunger for God’s truth never flickered out.
2017: The Season of Revival
After five years of quiet anticipation, 2017 marked a turning point. The study resumed, growing from a handful of believers to a vibrant community of twenty. Their focus was clear: “Back to the Word” and “Transformation.”
As they journeyed through the Book of Acts, the group reached a profound realization: Scripture isn’t just to be studied—it’s to be lived. They weren’t just students; they were servants. This led to a season of deep seeking:
-
What should we do?
-
What is God’s heartbeat for us?
2024: A Vision Refined in Prayer
In August 2024, the path became clear. During a week of fasting led by Sister Genet Tadesse, the group felt a divine prompting to retreat to Debre Zeit for two days of intensive prayer.
It was here that Brother Mesfin Tesfaye shared a burden he had carried since 1994. Though a previous attempt to launch a ministry in 2004 had met with obstacles and a lack of organizational clarity, the vision remained. The group wrestled with the “how”:
-
Should we send missionaries?
-
Should we hold crusades?
The first day ended in uncertainty, but the second day brought the dawn of clarity.
Clarity, Unity, and a New Frontier
On the morning of August 18, the confusion vanished. In its place was a spirit of total unity. Encouraged by Brother Abraham Tesfaye to step out in faith, the group looked at the map and saw their mission field: The Northern Region. Recognizing that the Gospel had not yet taken deep root in these areas, the group felt a collective calling. A single truth settled over the room:
“There is no greater joy than bringing God’s Word to the people.”
Christ for All: Born Again
What began as a humble Bible study has been transformed into Christ for All Gospel Ministry.
With a renewed mandate and a unified heart, we are stepping out to share the transforming power of Jesus Christ with those who have yet to hear His name. We give all glory to God, the Alpha and Omega, who revives His work in His perfect timing.
